Recognition for the hard work of all our volunteers is well deserved

Knowle FC are proud to announce that following the accreditation window assessment over the past two weeks, the club has been upgraded and awarded 3-Star Accredited Club status by the FA. The 3-Star grading is part of the Football Accreditation Programme which recognises clubs that demonstrate exceptional standards in governance, coaching, safeguarding, player development, and community engagement.

The Robins join an exclusive group of clubs at the top level of the FA’s national framework. Knowle FC are only the 20th club (out of 1,200) within the Birmingham County FA, and within the top 325 (out of 20,000) clubs across the country, this is a remarkable achievement for a community-based, volunteer-led Step 6 club.

Club Chairman Stuart Lanyon commented:

“This is fantastic recognition for everyone involved at Knowle FC, from our volunteers and coaches to our players and supporters. Achieving 3-Star accreditation shows that we are operating at the highest standards both on and off the pitch. We’re incredibly proud to join such a select group of clubs, and it’s a real testament to the hard work and dedication that goes into making Knowle FC a true community club.”

Lanyon continued:

“We should rightly celebrate this moment. As we head into our centenary year and continue our ambitious plans, including our floodlight installation, this award adds further momentum to everything we’re building. It’s also a great time for local businesses and partners to get involved and be part of Knowle FC’s journey.”

Achieving 3-Star accreditation underlines the club’s commitment to creating a safe, inclusive, and high-quality football environment for players of all ages. It recognises excellence in areas such as coaching qualifications, player pathways, club management, and community development, all of which reflect the FA’s vision for sustainable grassroots football.  The club would like to extend a huge well done and thank you to all our volunteers who make all of the above happen, week in, week out; hopefully you are extremely proud to see this recognition of everything you put in to Knowle FC!
