Opening Schedule Takes Place, First Three Fixtures Announced
The United Counties League has confirmed each team’s opening three fixtures
Knowle’s opening United Counties Premier South schedule is beginning to take shape after a further two league fixtures were confirmed.
As previously reported, Matt and Clive Seeley’s side will host FC Stratford at The Robins’ Nest on Sunday, July 26 (11:30am) in their first-ever game at Step Five level, but the United Counties League has today confirmed the two matches that follow.
They will travel to Northampton Sileby Rangers on Saturday, August 1 for their second league fixture, with kick-off at O’Riordan Bond Stadium set for 3:00pm.
The Robins return home three days later when they host Coventry Sphinx on Tuesday, August 4 (7:45pm). The visitors are the second-closest side to Knowle geographically this season, behind only Shirley neighbours Highgate United.
The United Counties League has confirmed they are aiming to make the full Premier Division fixture list public by July 22/23, the week before our opening match.
A short statement read: “The Fixtures Director is aiming to get the rest of the Division One fixtures out by Monday, July 13, whilst he has to wait for Step Three and Four fixtures before completing the Premier Divisions.
“He will aim to issue the rest by [July] 22nd/23rd.”
Knowle will take on National League side Solihull Moors, Coventry Alvis, AFC Solihull and fellow Step Five side Droitwich Spa in pre-season friendlies before the opening weekend.
