Football suspended for one month

Rob Cannel • November 4, 2020

All Knowle FC activities are cancelled in line with new government regulations for Covid-19

You will all be aware that England is entering a one month period of national "lock-down" in an attempt to stop the spread of the Covid-19 virus.

Sadly, this means that all grassroots football has been suspended and Knowle FC teams cannot train or play games until 2nd December at the earliest, despite all the safety measures we have put in place over the past few months.

The new government guidance does allow two people to meet in public parks for "leisure or recreation", however we advise all of our youth teams against 1-2-1 coaching sessions as these would contravene FA and club safeguarding measures.

Everybody at the club is disappointed with the ruling, but we urge all members to follow the guidelines and stay safe so we can look forward to welcoming you back to Knowle FC in December.

For more information, please see our Covid-19 page on this website. Also, the FA statement can be viewed here - https://www.thefa.com/news/2020/nov/03/non-elite-football-statement-031120
